A strong sales CV makes your commercial contribution easy to understand. If you are applying for sales jobs in Saudi Arabia, show what you sold, who you served, and what changed because of your work. Match your examples to the vacancy without exaggerating your results.
Start with the sales role you want
Choose a clear target: account management, retail sales, business development, or sales leadership. Your opening summary should describe your relevant sector, customer base and strongest skills. Avoid a long list of unrelated job titles.
Turn responsibilities into evidence
“Responsible for sales” tells an employer very little. Explain your territory, customer segment, sales channel and contribution. Use figures you can support, such as revenue growth, new accounts, repeat business, collection performance or target achievement. If numbers are confidential, describe the scale or improvement without disclosing sensitive information.
For example, replace “managed customer accounts” with “managed a portfolio of wholesale customers, coordinated order follow-up and resolved delivery issues to support repeat business.” Add a verified result if you have one. Never copy sample figures into your CV as your own achievements.
Reflect the employer’s requirements
Read the job description before applying. If it asks for distributor management, modern trade, CRM reporting or negotiation, make the relevant experience visible. Use familiar terms naturally; do not add skills you cannot demonstrate.
Make location and availability clear
Include your current city, preferred work location, contact details and notice period where appropriate. State whether you are willing to relocate. Mention Arabic and English proficiency accurately, and distinguish spoken fluency from basic working knowledge.
Keep the document easy to scan
- Use clear headings and reverse chronological employment history.
- Keep dates and job titles consistent.
- Use short achievement bullets rather than dense paragraphs.
- Check that your PDF contains selectable text and your contact details work.
- Use a descriptive filename, such as your name followed by Sales CV.
Prepare examples for the interview
For each claim, be ready to explain the situation, your action and the outcome. Discuss how you identified an opportunity, handled an objection or recovered an account. A credible account of your work is more useful than a CV filled with broad claims.
